Hot Child In The City: Zachary Bernard Introduces Acetate Frames

This week marked the debut of Zachary Bernard's second eyewear line. ZB rolled out over twenty fashionable styles in acetate frames. After trying every pair at least three times--What can we say? The whole line appeals--there's no doubt, each style is totally wearable. Like their buffalo horn counter parts these beauties are completely handmade, the glasses are feather-weight, but heavy on style, a perfect choice for the warm spring days. Or chilly spring days... Where are you Spring!? Either way we're gearing up with a handful of new ZB's, it's easy to do when the new kids on the block run $450 a pop!

They're golden! Come see for yourself.

Diane von Furstenberg | DVF Rocks Google's Glass

Diane von Furstenberg  continues to make huge splashes in the fashion and eyewear world. During her New York Fashion Week runway show she not only exposed the fashion world to Google's eyewear technology but, she debuted a video showing the major week, and pre-weeks, through the eyes of a designer. All of the footage in the video below was filmed using only Glass, Google's newest technology, which let's you capture everything through your own eyes.

On Repeat in Oak St.: Rihanna "Love Without Tragedy"

As we eagerly anticipate warmer days, we are rocking out with Rihanna, and although the edgy artists offers an eclectic style we've chosen to pair her song, "Love Without Tragedy"--kind of post-Valentine's day, right?-- with classic Matsuda's (vintage sketch included). The delicate side shields and gorgeous filigree detailing of these lovely frames give us feelings of The Paris Years, Hollywood glam, and just-hip-enough. What's not eclectic about that? Thank you, Cupid--and Rihanna--we're love struck!

(Big thanks to Stephen Kisgen for the image).

We've got the heat cranked up in our store! Come in.  Rock out. Stay warm.

On Repeat in Oak St.: Train "Drive By"

Check out these rockin' Oliver Goldsmith shades! We've got 'em in house and we're playing the perfect song to match, Train's "Drive By." It's a rosy tinted video and one of those tunes that gets you reved up for Spring. We think the square lenses of the Uuksuu (1964) juxtaposed with the glam-girl frames are just right for driving around when the snow thaws.

Come in and see through them yourself!
